Full Description: This car was purchased new in Frankfurt, Germany at the Otto Glockler Dealership. The dealership badge is still attached to the passenger side lower front fender. The car also came with the dealership booklet that states the VIN and engine numbers for this car. This car still retains its original engine from the factory. How often do you see an early cab with its original engine???

The car was shipped to Southern California in 1959 and has lived here ever since. The original owner was a student at UCLA as apparent by the parking permit that is still on the front bumper, dating back to 1970.

Apparently, the owner had mechanical issues with the Cabriolet and it was parked way back in 1974. He must of thought that some day he would get it back on the road as he owned the car for many more years. Sadly, the owner passed away and the stepson had no interest in the car that was left to him, so he sold it.

I purchased it in October of 2006 and did a total rebuild on the engine and running gear to make the car road worthy again. It drives like a dream.

I don't plan to do a restoration on this one. I kinda like the old worn-out look of the original paint and interior.
