1958 Karmann Ghia
I don't want to sell it but I have run out of space to keep it. Pretty much everything mechanical has been replaced or rebuilt on my Ghia. The rear axles had new bearings and seals installed when I had the transaxle rebuilt. The shop used a higher 4th gear when they rebuilt it, so 70 mph down the highway is no problem.
The 1600 motor was rebuilt by the previous owner. All brakes and bearings have been replaced along with adding a dual reservoir master cylinder.
It has new: tie rods and tie rod ends, stainless steel bumpers and side moldings, tail light lenses, bamboo parcel tray, carpet, door sills, hood and trunk cables, smoothie rims, all window seals, hub caps, 5 Firestone white wall tires and many more items.
It drives better than any VW I have owned. It has the correct gauges and working dome light. The paint/bodywork was done by a previous owner and had some bad prep work but has not changed since I have owned it, I would describe it as a 15 footer. The pans and heater channels are perfect. There is no rust in the bottom of the spare tire well. I bought the car from the west coast and the previous owner said it was purchased new there and had never left the west coast until I purchased it. The car still has the original key that works the ignition and door lock. I can provide more photos, I have a clean clear title in my name.
